Only Gilbarco Veeder-Root ASC, technicians may attend certified training classes, CSC and SSC may attend with prior MSM approval.
Six months Service Station experience is recommended.
Passport certification class has a self-registered WEB based class at https://gilbarco.sabacloud.com that needs
to be completed successfully before any registrations can be accepted. This certification is for the technicians
to install and service of the Passport POS system with Manager and Cashier functions will be covered.
Each Tech attending will have a Passport Combo (Manager and Cashier workstation) with a
Client (Cashier Workstation) on their desk for Installation, loading software and troubleshooting.
Each Tech will load software on the Server, Client and EDH. They will have basic manager
programming exercises. They will experience the Passport registration process and Feature
Activation. Troubleshooting will range from replacing hard drives, mother boards, to changing
IP addresses and more. Windows experience is necessary/mandatory.
Laptops computers with an Ethernet port and RS232 port/converter. Techs will need to connect to the Internet either wired or wireless. The tech will need to have the ability to install several programs to their laptops and possible change network settings. Administrative rights will be needed. Technicians will be loading software on Passport PX60 systems. Technicians Jump Drives will be needed in class. Version 11.02 S704-50004FD, Version 12.02 S704-80034FD and Version 20.04 S708-200004FD. It is highly recommended to have USB to SATA cable.
This Hands-On class begins Monday morning at 8:00am CST. Lunch break is at 11:30am and class ends at 5:00pm but could go longer. Fridays class will end at 4:30pm. The final written and practical test to be done Friday afternoon. Please schedule travel plans accordingly.

Technicians need to have a valid API Service Station Safety certification and Passport Pre- Course web based class with a valid Technician number
Online material must be completed and passed before attending the Hands On class.
Laptops will be needed in the classroom during the class and must have an Ethernet port and RS232 port/Converter.
After class daily tests will need to be completed.
New Technicians that DO NOT have a Technician number through Gilbarco Veeder Root must fill out the
form at https://gilbarco.sabacloud.com.

Troubleshooting can range from replacing hard drives to changing IP addresses and more. Windows experience is necessary/mandatory.
